The inaugural 2022 Silver Stallion Jr. Stampede | XCC TT & XCO is an ages 18 and under junior Short Track XCC and Cross Country XCO mountain bike event taking place in the Zuni Mountains in McGaffey, New Mexico.

This is a FREE and family-friendly event for first-time racers and their families that providing opportunity for those with new-found interest in pursuing adventure on two wheels. This event will be a fun as well as challenging for all those participating.

Taking place with Saturday’s Zuni 50/100 (New Mexico Endurance Series) hosted by Gallup Trails, on Saturday afternoon the Jr. Stampede will feature a drop-in Short Track ITT “Individual Time Trial” providing staging (call-up) placement for the start of Sunday morning’s longer-distance XCO races.

The XCO distance categories are designed to replicate the roughly 6-12-18 mile 6th - 12th grade New Mexico NICA League categories, also including an Under-10 Kids Race.

This event provides all-aged athletes the opportunity to test-out shorter-distance racing to their choosing whereas there are distance limitations applied to younger age groups.
