Our Programs

Free Bike Repair

There are currently no bike shops across the Navajo Nation. This fall we have repaired 421 bikes for free across the communities of Crownpoint, NM, Fort Defiance AZ, Chinle, AZ, Many Farms, AZ, Nazlini, AZ, and Rockpoint AZ while employing up to 6 local mechanics per event. Through on-going Silver Stallion Mobile Ride Center programming rural locations beyond Gallup can begin to flourish in regard to increased ridership, camaraderie, trail development, general health and well-being. 

DEVO/CLUB Rides

Silver Stallion Bikes has began the first of what is now six GMCS, Private and Charter Middle School and after school DEVO/CLUB Ride programs serving 100+ participants in Thoreau, Crownpoint, Tohatchi and Navajo, as well as an additional 20-25 students at Rehoboth Christian School and Hozho Academy (2020 to present).

NICA TEAMS - DINÉ COMP AND GALLUP COMP

In 2018 Silver Stallion founded the Gallup Composite NICA Team. In 2019 this Gallup team branched off to develop and launch both the Rehoboth School and Diné (Navajo) Composite NICA Teams. Having witnessed and experienced the positive impact of interscholastic mountain biking, Silver Stallion now seeks to expand to a more all-ages programing utilizing the Durango Devo model that emphasizes camaraderie and fun.
